David Jeffries - TT Racer

David Jeffries pictured Rhencullen on the Yamaha R1 on the way to vicory at the 1999 TT.

Following in a family tradition of sorts. In 1999 David weighed in with 3 TT victories on his Yamaha R1 (and R71 variant) for the V&M team. Formula 1, Production and Senior.

In 2000 a broken gearbox robbed him of victory whilst leading the Formula 1 race, but he came back to equal Joey's treble of victories with wins in the Junior, Production and Senior. Oh, I almost forgot..... on the last lap of the Senior on board the R71 he smashed through the 125mph barrier with an average lap of 125.69mph - wow. Of note is that on that last lap at the Gooseneck we gave him a standing ovation - and he responded by waving with his left hand off the bar, and still went on to hit that speed.
