I learned this tune from Neil Davie, a mandolin player who used to live in Edinburgh. He learned it from a Boys of the Lough recording, and the Boys of the Lough learned it from accordionist Martin O'Connor. I have seen it elsewhere called The Hayden Fancy.

In Irish music there are many tunes whose name or source has been forgotten. The custom is to name the tune after the musician who you heard it from.
