SCHOOLS' FOOTBALL - INTER DISTRICT MATCH
Played at Erith on Saturday 28th October 2000
BEXLEY Under 11's 5, HACKNEY Under 11's 1.

Hackney failed to tke early chances at Erith on Saturday and paid the price as they were eventually overwhelmed by a lively Bexley side.

There was little to choose between the teams in the first-half, but defensive lapses allowed Bexley to turn round three up. The Kent side continued to press as Hackney made changes and added a fourth before ANTHONY OSEI-ROACH pulled one back for the visitors with a fine solo effort.

Bexley returned to the attack to score a fifth an final goal shortly before the end to complete a conclusive victory.

* Former Hackney Under 11's striker TONY STOKES scored twice on his debut for the INNER LONDON County Under 14's in a see-saw match against HERTFORDSHIRE at Potters Bar last week. Stokes, who attends Bow School and the West Ham Academy, came on as a second-half substitute and showed great skill and composure in taking his goals as Inner London clinched a 6-4 victory.
