Despite their attractive football at Douglads Eyre on Saturday, Hackney's youngsters could not retain their grip on the Inner London 7-a-sides title which they won in such fine style last year.
Hackney won just one of their three league games when MARCUS SIMON and KARMAH DUBERRY scored in a 2-0 win over South London. In their other matches they lost 2-1 to the eventual winers of the competition, neighbours Islington, and 1-0 to Woolwich in a game which Hackney dominated but could not snatch the vital goals.
