LESTER FINCH TROPHY

HACKNEY Under 11's 4, BARNET Under 11's 1.

A strong, swirling wind made conditions difficult at Douglas Eyre on Saturday but it was the in-form Hackney side who profited to record their first Lester Finch success of the season.

Strikers MARCUS SIMON and KARMAH DUBERRY soon began to torment the Barnet back-line as they latched onto goalkeeper LORREN SAMPSON's prodigious clearances and they each struck twice as Hackney raced into a 4-0 interval lead.

Then it was Barnet's turn to attack but inspired by some resolute defending from RORY McCREDIE and CHARLIE FAGAN and LAREACE THOMAS'S strength in mid-field, the Hertfordshire side were restricted to a late consolation goal.
