SCHOOLS' FOOTBALL - INTER-ASSOCIATION MATCH
Played at Douglas Eyre on 10th November 2001
Hackney Under 11's 4, Newham Under 11's 4
Hackney's recent good form seemed to have deserted them as they fell three goals behind to a lively Newham side. But the introduction of mid-fielder Brady Marks at half-time heralded a remarkable come-back in which the Gainsborough Schoolboy played a major part.
Within minutes, Marks received a defence-splitting pass from mid-fielder Charlie Fagan and then provided the perfect cross for FAGAN himself to slide the ball home after continuing his run into the penalty-box. MARKS himself struck the second with an angled volley and then, after the visitors had hit a fourth, he created havoc in the Newham goalmouth with a perfectly-weighted corner and MARCUS SIMON was on hand to fire home.
Hackney were now well on top and thre equaliser was not long in coming when KARMAH DUBERRY hit an unstoppable 25 yard volley high into the net to round off an oustanding second-half Hackney display.
Hackney Under 11's: Daniel, Simon (Gayhurst), Cuff (De Beauvoir), McCredie, Capt. (Millfields), Cokegcici (Berger), Townsend, Lewis, Fagan, Doody (Rushmore), Handovsky (William Patten), Duberry (Amherst),

Sampson (Daubeney), Thomas (Sir Thomas Abney).
* Hackney Under 11's will be defending their Inner London Schools' 7-a-side title when they take on seven other district teams in this year's tournament on Saturday. Recent good form suggests that Hackney will be hard to beat and play starts at 10.00a.m. at the Douglas Eyre Centre, E17.
