It was the home side who gained the early advantage and brought a fine diving save from goalkeeper EYLES before Hackney hit a five minute purple patch in which they scored three times.
GREG MOORSE-MACDOUGALL netted from close range following a corner before JAHMAL MASON-BLAIR beat the goalkeeper to a through ball to make it 2-0 and a third came almost immediately when Moorse-MacDougall was again on the mark, this time with a rasping twenty-yarder.
The Kent side now played their best football of the game and reduced the arrears as Hackney failed to clear and then carried their better form into the second half to make the score 3-2.
But Hackney again showed their attacking strength when ANTHONY SASA converted a corner and DAVID FALLAH was on target with an unstoppable 20 yard free-kick to restore the visitors' three goal advantage.
