Hackney opened brightly with some neat passing in mid-field but could bring their strikers into the game and it was Wandsworth who broke the deadlock after fifteen minutes with a close-range strike. A second goal followed almost immediately leaving Hackney a huge task in the second period.
The visitors began to show more penetration after the interval and incisive through ball from Greg Moorse-MacDougall
and Marc James provided Hackney with their best chances of the game but both Jahmal Mason-Blair and Anthony Sasa
fired wide when well-placed and Wandsworth were able to re-gain control in the final minutes to thwart Hackney‘s
challenge.
