SCHOOLS' FOOTBALL -
KAY TROPHY
Played at Douglas Eyre Sports Centre, on Saturday 18th December 1999
HACKNEY Under 11's 7, ISLINGTON Under 11's 0

Hackney Under 11's helped themselves to three Kay Trophy points with this seven-goal romp at Douglas Eyre.

CHRISTIAN ASIEDU and MARLON MARRIOTT-DIXON exposed Islington's defensive weaknesses to give Kay Trophy holders Hackney an early two-goal advantage but the visitors hit back with some spirited attacking play and twice went close to reducing the arrears as Hackney's back-line were stetched to the limit.

Having survived the pressure, Hackney then went on a fifteen-minute goal spree. BEN STOKES turned in a right-wing cross, Mariott-Dixon scored from close range and an Islington defender turned the ball into his own goal to make it five. The skilful ANTON AGDOMAR then added two individual goals to complete the scoring.

Hackney Under 11's: Gultrkin (Woodberry Down), Kates (Millfields), Drew, Capt. (Gayhurst), Smyth (William Patten), Bingham (Baden Powell), Smith, Agdomar (Tyssen), Ozomusi (Benthal), Stokes (Gainsborough), Marriott-Dixon (St. Matthias), Asiedu (Holy Trinity). Subs: Carpenter (Holy Trinity), Bonnett-Johnson (Rushmore), Salih (Southwold)
