The home side took early control when poor defending gifted them a second-minute goal but JUNIOR OMOZUSI equalised when he scrambled home a corner just before the interval.
Hackney then enjoyed a spell of ascendency as then put the Essex side under pressure with a series of corners. But the visitors lacked a cutting edge to go ahead and paid the price as Redbridge launched a late assault, forcing Hackney 'keeper Gultekin into two fine saves before notching that late late winner.
Hackney Under 11's: Gultekin (Woodberry Down), Kates (Millfields), Drew (Gayhurst), Smyth (William Patten), Bingham (Baden Powell), Smith, Agdomar (Tyssen), Omozusi (Benthal), Bonnett-Johnson (Rushmore), Marriott-Dixon (St. Matthias), Asiedu (Holy Trinty).
Holders Hackney set out on the Kay Trophy trail on Saturday when they entertain Lewisham. Kick-off is 10.30a.m. at Douglas Eyre Sports Centre, E17.
