SCHOOLS' FOOTBALL -
CRISP SHIELD - Semi-Final
Played at South Ockenden on Saturday 11th March 2000
Thurrock Under 11's 0. Hackney under 11's 4.
Hackney's leading scorer MARLON MARRIOTT-DIXON led his side's super show with a classy hat-trick after Thurrock had come closest to taking the lead in a goalless first period.

Marriott-Dixon opened the scoring when he latched on to Gultekin's long clearance to slide the ball past the advancing 'keeper. ADRIAN CLIFTON then added a second with a defelcted shot as Hackney took complete control in mid-field.

Asiedu and Clifton both went close with clever chips before Marriott-Dixon struck two late goals to confirm Hackney's superiority.

Hackney now have the chance to lift the prestigious London Schools' Crisp Shield for the very first time as they take on local rivals Newham in April - details to be announced.
