• RX50
  
  

  Trail bike powered by a 50cc single cylinder 2-stroke, air cooled engine. Using an automatic gearbox.
  Brakes are a 190mm diameter disc up front, and a 110mm diameter drum on the rear.

  Same race rep. styling as its bigger brothers the RS125 & RS250.
  Powered by a 50cc single cylinder liquid cooled 2-stroke engine which drives through a 6 speed gearbox.
  Brakes are 290mm diam. disc front, and 220mm diam. disc rear.
  Weight: 90kg.
  

125cc Models

• ETX125 Trailbike
  APRILIA is launching a new 125cc trailie as an alternative for learners who don't fancy its racy RS125.
  The ETX125 is a two-stroke single with a kick-start and will be based on the RX125 which was never officially brought to Britain, although some did find their way into the country through unofficial importers.
  The ETX will be styled on the RX50 and will be available in a blue and silver colour scheme.
  The bike will make 14.6bhp so it fits in with 15bhp learner-legal limits introduced in the UK at the beginning of 1997.
  It's expected to cost around £3000 and could be available as early as February next year. The new bike will have lower bars than the existing RX models to make it easier for learners to get to grips with. But Aprilia's still wants the bike to look big and beefy for a 125.
  

• Classic 125
  A retro/custom styling, powered by a single cylinder 125cc, liquidcooled 2-stroke. 6 speed gearbox.
  Brakes are 260mm disc front, and 160mm drum rear.
  
  
  

• RS125
  

  Aprilia's answer to the Mito. GP styling with an engine and frame to match.
  

  
  

  Powered by a single cylinder, liquid cooled 2-stroke through a 6 speed gearbox.
  Brakes: 320mm diam. disc front & 220mm diam. disc rear with brembo calipers.
  Tyres: 110/70 x 17" front & 150/60 x 17" rear.
  Weight: 142kg.
