The Benelli Tornado 900 Tre
- At the TT2000 Festival Benelli gave the Tornado it's first run in public - on a lap of the world famous TT mountain circuit.

- Distinctive front:
Twin air intakes and triple stacked headlights. Note the lack of a radiator behind the front wheel keeping it slim.
- Distinctive rear:
Ducatis and MVs may have under-seat exhausts but how about this for a back end. Note the radiator shining under the seat unit.
- The engine:
900cc liquid cooled triple with down-draught fuel injection and counter-balancers. Claimed to produce some 140hp in road trim.
The firing interval are all on the same stroke, giving the Tornado a very distinctive sound, the idea is that of 'Big Bang' motors as used in the 500GP's. The benefit is mainly for the track is is supposed to give the tyre respite between the engine pulses. Either way it sounds great :-))
- Don't let the kids put their finger in here ...
Twin hot air exhaust fans to cool the underseat radiator at low speeds - very trick :-)
Dealers
- As yet I have no information about importers or dealers for the Tornado. If you can't wait try contacting Moto Benelli direct.
