News in March 2001:
.....is that Piaggio are in talks with Claudio Castiglioni, the owner of the MV Agusta and Cagiva. Their aim is to buy 30 per cent of MV! Neither company are at present prepared to comment, other than a statement from MV saying that Mr Castiglioni is working on the project. Speculation has it that it is already a done deal.
This cash injection would in turn speed up MV's developement of new models and increase production. Both of which are essential if MV are to continue to develop, they currently sell every bike they can build with a long waiting list for the F4S.
