In the Wing canopy area, there are two sections, Venture Wing and Leader Wing. This year the 1997 Scout Paragliding Nationals, was held on the 12th and 13th of July at RAF North Luffingham, in Northamptonshire. From this years Scout Nationals GLSW & Surrey SPC came away with 3 awards. Ben Haworth came first in the Scout Round section, Matthew Polley (me) won the Venture Round section, we came third place in the team event, which consisted of Ben, Matthew and Simon Sykes. The weekend was a successful one and will be worth remembering.
The Scout Paragliding Nationals, is a accuracy competition open to all Scout Paragliding Clubs in the United Kingdom. In this competition there are many different disciplines, in the round canopy area there are three sections; Scout Round, Venture Round and Leader Round.
