Operating additional hardware
1. plug it in
The keyboard and the mouse plug into the little round connections at the back -the keyboard and mouse connectors should be marked) but if you get it wrong they will simply not work -no harm done-. Swap them around
The Intellikeys board plugs into the keyboard connector and then the keyboard plugs into the other side of the lead.
The Concept Keyboard plugs into the small serial port at the back. It can only go in one the right way around.
The Digital camera plugs into the serial port (same as a concept keyboard)
The Semerc mouser plugs into the mouse port and the mouse plugs into the mouser
The touchWindow connects to the serial port
The printer attaches to the larger printer port at the rear (sometimes labelled LPT1)
Several other thing connect to the printer port (eg scanners, zip drives, additional CDroms)
Most connectors will only go into one socket, one way around- do not try and force them......they can break.
2. load the software
The concept keyboard, digital camera, touchwindow all need software drivers to make them work. These will be somewhere on the computer under their own names.
The Intellikeys, mouser and keyboard will work without any additional special software drivers.
The printer needs setting up with the right software driver:
