Using sound
All windows computers come with a basic program to play and record sound files. There is a large selection of sound files on everycomputers harddiscs
More advanced sound manipulation (eg. changing between different types of sound files, adding echo and other special effects) can be done using a sound editing program. Two common sound editors are Cooledit and Goldwave.
You can use sounds in multimedia authoring programs to create talking books and switch cause and effect programs.
You can use sounds in Symbols 2000 attached to words/symbols.
To record sounds onto the computer you will need a microphone.
