Which programmes have people used with video clips of their students in? Acorn Clicker seems to run the replay video files included on the A7000 but Windows clicker does'nt run AVI/quicktime (WE have Clicker!).Would you reccommend hyperstudio or other progs? What about powerpoint? If you have a video file in quicktime eg is tere a free programme available to edit it? eg shorten it etc to make file size smaller.

I usually use Powerpoint on the PC and Clicker2 on the Acorn for interactive video presentations. I know others who prefer to use hyperstudio.
Clicker 3 on the PC should play AVI files but it isn't officially out yet, I don't know about Quicktime.
On the PC powerpoint has some nice facilities such as sound and graphic transition effects, mouse over cells, and timing controls.
I do find the the general interface in powerpoint confusing, it is a very powerful package though. It's also preinstalled on lots of machines and includes a stand alone player you can package with the files.
File sizes tend to be huge.
Sorry I can't help with video editing.
I'm using uncut video snatches from CDroms in the multimedia presentations.
I do tend to use the simple animation controls in powerpoint rather than video since our pupils respond better to clear graphics than small fuzzy video clips.
On the Meldreth Web site there is some explanation of how to use Clicker and Powerpoint to create simple switch accessible multimedia.

On the PC you can use Toolbook to choose sections of your
video to play in response to a click but it is expensive.

Also Adobe premier or Adobe premier lite which I think is
supplied with some video cards.

Any one else know any more ?
