John's HTML Tutors

These introductions were originally written for the benefit of Argonet subscribers using Acorn computers.   Because the whole point of HTML on the Internet is that it is platform-independent, the tutors are not limited to Acorn platforms at all.   However, all mentions of file-names of local files (stored on your hard discs) will in practice be platform-specific, and I have used the RiscOS/ADFS convention;   also, the file-extensions used in the examples are the "correct" ones, such as .html and .jpeg, not the DOS truncated ones.
The rest of this page contains the main Tutor (in both browsable and plaintext versions), plus a number of Appendices.
You can either download the sections you want piecemeal; or download the archive "lrnhtm.zip" which contains all those files compacted into one big lump.
